Yesterday was the day that I did not drive to work for some reason.. Encik suami drove me off to office and he was supposed to fetch me back at at 5pm. Anyway, thinking of how bad and worst the traffic could be at that peak hour in Federal Highway and also the city (KL apa lagi jam jam n jam la), we changed the plan. Decided that I will ride the LRT and he will just fetch me from the station there.Easy.
So off I go with great determination to take the LRT. To be honest, I did not put so much expectation towards the service. To keep comparing on what I have been experiencing so far between Adelaide and KL also did not help much. Jahat betol hahaha
I walked towards the Titiwangsa LRT station which situated like 500m from the office. Not so many people, a good sign I guessed. Reaching the ticket counter, I asked for ticket to Masjid Jamek Station. As I have browsed for the route and ticket price before, it makes the journey much easier. The website was really helpful I would say.Rm 1.20 for single journey ticket. Then I went up to wait for the train, within seconds the train then arrive. Wow, this is quite good as before this I used to wait like 10-15 minutes for the train to arrive. But still that alone was not enough proof to judge, yet. Let us wait what else is waiting for us tihihi.
Entering the coach, then I realized that it was in a very good condition, air condition worked perfectly, the ventilation was good and there were ample space for people to sit and stand which make me feel happy and impressed with the changes in public transport in Malaysia. I guess 4 years being away Malaysia doesn't do justice for me to judge the service quality back here haha.
When I reached Masjid Jamek, I had to change to Kelana Jaya Line heading to Asia Jaya Station. Again, I was impressed with the ticket machine, or should I say token machine as they now no longer use ticket card anymore (I bought the token over the counter at Titiwangsa). The machine was very much efficient provided you know where you are heading, It use touch screen and we just need to point to the station we want to go and the the price will be displayed. It also served as topup machine for those who use regular pass for their travel which bring back my memory of Seoul Public Transport.A very very surprising improvement I would say.
Then I took the train, which arrived in a jiffy(again) and off to Asia Jaya where Encik Suami was already waiting. Told him about how impressed I was with the LRT and he just laugh, annoyingly haha. We than had our iftar at IKEA nyumm nyumm with sooooo many people.Did some shopping for the house and I went back home happily because of the great service from LRT , a loving husband and our catch from IKEA too hahaha.Benarlah bagai dikata, hujan emas di negeri orang, hujan batu di negeri seniri, lebih baik di negeri sendiri..xdapat emas pun xpala haha.Alhamdulillah=)
